The Donor Alliance Foundation
Research
The Donor Alliance Foundation provides funding for social and scientific research and technology to support advancements and innovation in the field of organ donation and transplantation. Given the amount of dollars available, typically these are seed grants to gather data and information to apply for larger, national funding.
The Foundation anticipates making grants ranging in size from $10,000 up to $25,000 in the Research program area. The Donor Alliance Foundation makes one-year grants; funds must be expended during the calendar year for which they are awarded. Because funds are limited, it is anticipated that not all applicants will receive funding.
Research applications must submit a narrative with their online application including an executive summary explaining their work/project, the purpose of the study, proposed intervention, and deliverables.
All applicants applying for a research grant (social or scientific) will be required to follow a few additional steps to ensure the project is documented, per Donor Alliance policy.
- All applicants will be asked to disclose their lead investigator or main point of contact and have an initial brief conversation with Donor Alliance’s Director of Performance Excellence, Grace Harcek (gharcek@donoralliance.org).
- Additionally, applicants should be prepared to provide a research synopsis and other documentation for review when they submit their application, to ensure the project is documented and evaluated, per Donor Alliance policy. Any published papers will be expected to list The Donor Alliance Foundation as a funding partner.
