Tell us a little about your role with Donor Alliance: As the Business Intelligence Analyst I am responsible for data warehousing, dashboarding, reporting, data quality checks, and other data related tasks!
What is the best thing about working at Donor Alliance?I love the people at Donor Alliance and their commitment to our mission. Working for Donor Alliance makes me feel like I am making a difference in our community. We are working together to save lives. It is the most amazing thing to look around after hearing a recipient’s story and realize that the people they are talking about, the people who made donation or transplantation possible, are my coworkers and friends that I work with every day.
What does donation & transplantation mean to you? Saying Yes to donation is the most selfless thing a person or family can do. Donation is the gift of life and of time. It’s the big things – walking your child down the aisle, meeting your first grandchild, traveling the world… but it’s also the little things- getting to enjoy your favorite ice cream, taking your dogs for a walk, reading the next book in the series you love.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun? I am getting married this summer so I have been pretty busy planning for that! I also signed up for my first 10k at the end of May! Other than that, you are probably most likely to find me spending time with friends, listening to a podcast, or reading a book and snuggling with my pups!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? I’m not sure it counts as advice, but this quote by Albert Einstein has always really resonated with me, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
