Advocate Spotlight: Dan Krynovich
Donor Alliance volunteers and advocates are the heart and soul of our efforts to inspire and inform our community about the importance of signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in Colorado and Wyoming. Each of our volunteers and advocates has their own unique and inspiring story to tell. In this advocate spotlight, meet Dan Krynovich, a heart transplant recipient’s husband from Colorado Springs, CO.

What’s your favorite memory or event volunteering at Donor Alliance so far? Because of Donor Alliance’s noble mission, I get GREAT joy in signing up just one person when volunteering at events. That joy is magnified when I help sign up seven or eight new registered donors. Sadly, COVID shut down our 2020 volunteering. I hope we can get back to some form of normalcy this summer. Eva and I really miss setting up the booth at the University of Wyoming football games.
What is your favorite season and why? I love spring. It’s the start of warm weather, golf and baseball.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Don’t worry about the things you can’t control!
What song would you sing at karaoke night? I’m a product of the 60s. “Twist and Shout” by The Beatles.
What is your proudest accomplishment? All things associated with an inherent within being a Grandparent.
If you could take an all-expenses paid vacation, where would you go and what would you do? For years, I’ve wanted to take a Viking Cruise from Paris to Normandy.
What has been your favorite hobby in quarantine? With the gyms being closed because of COVID, I’ve actually started to enjoy long walks around our neighborhood.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us we’d love to have you join our Advocates for Life program! Get started.
