Donor Alliance Staff Spotlight, February 2024: Jordan Lemons
We’re so proud to work with each and every one of our staff members here at Donor Alliance. In our Staff Spotlight, we like to take a minute to share who we are and why we work at Donor Alliance. In this month’s staff spotlight, meet Jordan Lemons. Jordan is a Recruiter at Donor Alliance and has been part of the team for 10 months.
Meet Jordan in our December 2023 Donor Alliance Staff Spotlight
Tell us a little about your role at Donor Alliance:
Overall, my role is to really understand the hiring needs of the organization by working with hiring managers to define job requirements and qualifications, source candidates, screen and interview candidates, negotiate and offer management. It’s a position of relationship building. Cultivating relationships with potential candidates and current employees.
What do you enjoy most about/what’s the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I really enjoy the dynamic and people-centric nature of my role as a recruiter. Connecting with diverse individuals, understanding their unique skills and aspirations, and ultimately helping them find opportunities that align with their goals brings me great satisfaction.
Tell us about a time at work that really moved you. What’s the most meaningful interaction you’ve had at a Donor Alliance event? Most moving experience you’ve been a part of?
I think the most meaningful event for me was the Donor Family Tribute. It’s such a significant event, and it serves to honor and express gratitude to the donors and families who made the compassionate decision to gift organs and tissues, providing a second chance at life for others. It’s a great celebration of life and legacy.
If you change anything about your life, what would you change?
I think exploring new hobbies or maybe making adjustments to my current ones can provide a refreshing change.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?
Being outside. Hiking, skiing, camping.
