Jason's Story - Jason is a transplant recipient and registered donor
In 2009, Jason’s life took a dramatic turn. A simple cold escalated to pneumonia and, ultimately, congestive heart failure. To survive, he received a heart pump and was placed on the transplant waitlist. After nine long months, Jason got the life-changing call in February 2010. Following surgery, his recovery was swift. Today, Jason leads an active life with his wife, enjoying hiking, camping, and earning his business degree.
How Organ and
Tissue Donation Works
In Wyoming and Colorado, more than 1,300 people are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. When a registered donor passes away, Donor Alliance walks alongside families to honor their loved one's lifesaving and healing gifts. A nationwide database quickly identifies the best match for an organ transplant recipient. Donor Alliance then helps facilitate the recovery and transportation of the donor’s lifesaving gifts to transplant centers in a safe and timely manner.
Donor Alliance is a nonprofit dedicated to saving and healing lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Donor Alliance also manages the Donate Life Wyoming registry.
