Advocate Spotlight: Tracy Sanders
Donor Alliance Advocates for Life are the heart and soul of our efforts to inspire and inform our community about the importance of signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in Colorado and Wyoming. Each of our Advocates have their own unique and inspiring story to tell. In this Advocate Spotlight, meet Tracy Sanders, a Donor’s Mother from Windsor, CO. Tracy has been a dedicated Advocate for Life for 15 years!
Get to Know Tracy Sanders in this Month’s Advocate Spotlight:
What’s your favorite memory or event volunteering at Donor Alliance so far? My favorite thing about volunteering is telling people about my son and telling people about donation. I love meeting everyone and hearing their stories.
If you could have any super power for 24 hours, what would you do? My super power would be teleportation because I could save lots of time and no traffic!
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? The best advice I’ve received is to take chances. You regret the things you don’t do.
What is your favorite season and why? Summer, the days are so long and I can play tennis.
What is your proudest accomplishment? Raising two boys who have turned into self-sufficient and kind men.
What are some of your hobbies? My hobbies are tennis, cross stich, reading, spending time with my family and my dog and watching movies.
What song would you sing at karaoke night? My family has requested I never sing karaoke but if I did I would probably sign Dancing Queen or anything by Shinedown.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us we’d love to have you join our Advocates for Life program! Get started.
