Are you or someone you know interested in becoming a living kidney donor? In this free program, you’ll learn how to connect with a transplant center, know what to expect throughout the living donor evaluation and hear living donors share their stories.
The purpose of this program is to provide education about living kidney donation, how to get evaluated as a living donor, and what to expect during the process.
The program goes over:
- The evaluation process
- Surgery and donation
- Life after donation
- Finances and insurance
The presenters will be:
- Dr. Alan Hawxby – Transplant Surgeon, AdventHealth
- Jennifer Lurie – Living Donor Social Worker, AdventHealth
- Jessica Coleman – Living Donor & Paired Exchange Coordinator – AdventHealth
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from living donors about their experience and ask questions.
