Staff Spotlight: Claire Tallon
We’re so proud to work with each and every one of our staff members here at Donor Alliance. In our Staff Spotlight, we like to take a minute to share who we are and why we work at Donor Alliance. In this month’s staff spotlight, meet Claire Tallon. Claire is a Donation Consultant at Donor Alliance and has been part of the team for almost 5 years.
This Month’s Staff Spotlight is on Claire Tallon:
Name: Claire Tallon
Position: Donation Consultant
Years at Donor Alliance: almost 5 years
Tell us a little about your role with Donor Alliance:
I work with our Hospital Partners in Southern Colorado. I ensure we have strong relationships with staff at various levels throughout the hospital so that the donation process is smooth not only for the hospital staff and for our staff, but for the families of our donor’s that entrust us to do this meaningful and lifesaving work.
What do you enjoy most about your role/what’s the most rewarding aspect of your role:
I truly appreciate and value the relationships I’ve built with my coworkers, as well as the relationships I’ve built and strengthened with staff at the hospitals I work with in Southern Colorado.
Tell us about a time at work that really moved you, most meaningful interaction you’ve had at a Donor Alliance event? Most moving experience you’ve been a part of?:
In general being allowed into, in some small part, a family’s worst day; knowing I’m a part of something bigger than myself, and that my daily work is helping to save the lives of people I will never meet is incredibly meaningful to me and what continues to motivate me.
If you could change anything about your life, what would you change?:
In this moment, nothing!
When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?:
I read a ton; I’m on my 33rd book of the year! I hike and kayak with my dog, Keeva. And I love to spend time with my friends and family, especially my almost 2 year old nephew.
