We’re so proud to work with each and every one of our staff members here at Donor Alliance. In our Staff Spotlight, we like to take a minute to share who we are and why we work at Donor Alliance. In this month’s staff spotlight, meet Dee Davis. Dee is an Administrative Assistant at Donor Alliance and has been part of the team for 10 months.
This Month’s Staff Spotlight is on Dee Davis:
Name: Dee Davis
Position: Administrative Assistant
Years at Donor Alliance: 10 months
Tell us a little about your role with Donor Alliance:
At reception, I answer incoming calls and triage each call to determine who should respond to caller. I greet all visitors and staff with a smile and complete day to day projects promptly. I help Quality and Finance Managers and their team members with administrative support, which allows them to do their jobs and maximize productivity. My contributions to Quality and Finance are numerous, diverse, and extremely rewarding.
What do you enjoy most about your role/what’s the most rewarding aspect of your role:
Dealing with staff members at all levels, I have a talent for creating positive connections and team building. I enjoy working with co-workers and staff to help build a positive work environment. Core Values are particularly important to me at home and in the workplace. After one week working here at Donor Alliance, I knew this is where I belonged due to its Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and putting People First. Prior to working here at Donor Alliance, I worked as a Practice Administrator at a medical facility for over 15 years, so I understand the importance of putting people first and I found that culture here at Donor Alliance
Tell us about a time at work that really moved you, most meaningful interaction you’ve had at a Donor Alliance event? Most moving experience you’ve been a part of?:
While working at the front desk, I greeted one of our executive leaders and said “I am Donor Alliance“ and the response back was, “No, Dee, you are the face of Donor Alliance.” I will never forget the compliment and I will continue daily to live up to that compliment.
I love meeting recipients and donor families at our Balloon Release, listening to their stories; grieving with them and supporting them any way I could, is extremely rewarding and humbling.
I came in at #1001 within my age group during a Donor Dash (I’ll have to do better next year!)
If you could change anything about your life, what would you change?:
Nothing, I have experienced great adventures, with more to come. I have met wonderful long-lasting friends. I have a wonderful supportive family at home and at work with no time for regrets. And my advice to everyone is – Learn from mistakes and move on!
When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?:
Spending time with family and friends, allowing my American Bull Dog to pull me up the hill and drag me back down, volleyball, dancing, all types of dancing and driving my husband crazy!
