The Gift of Life: One of the Most Unique Gifts to Give this Holiday Season

A Happy Holiday Message from Donor Alliance
The gift of life truly is one of the most unique gifts to give this holiday season. It represents how loss can turn into hope and is an extremely selfless act of love and courage.
“The holidays are a season of giving. A season to honor those who have both given and received the gift of life. Looking back on 2022, nearly 800 lifesaving organ transplants occurred as a result of the incredible generosity of nearly 275 organ donors with thousands of life healing tissue transplants made possible by the nearly 1900 tissue donors throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Donation and transplantation is at the intersection of loss and hope and is only possible because of the courageous acts of donors, families, and recipients in our area. Profound loss has been turned into hope for others, which is why we celebrate this incredible gift during this holiday season. Donation and transplantation truly is a miracle.
In the spirit of the season, I encourage you to talk to your friends and your family about your choice to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. This time of year allows us to inspire and educate our friends and families about this ultimate gift of life – a gift that can change the lives of the 1,500 people who wait for a lifesaving and healing transplant in Colorado and Wyoming.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best during this holiday season with much happiness in the year ahead.”
With gratitude,
Jennifer Prinz
